Gilgamesh Uruk
Golden Boy
Born into an affluent Uruk family that traced its lineage back to the ancient desert kingdom of Mesopotamia, Gilgamesh was raised amid privilege and prestige. In Prologia, his family mingled with the elite, basking in the opulence of high society. But the golden image shattered when a financial scandal dragged their name through the mud. Though disgraced and forced to flee the city, the family’s wealth remained largely untouched. Gilgamesh, however, stayed behind in Prologia, funded by a generous allowance that allowed him to continue living in style. Radiant in both appearance and intellect, he quickly earned a reputation as a golden boy in every sense of the word. Yet for all his brilliance, his impulses often outpaced his judgment.
The most infamous example came when he squandered a small fortune on a batch of so-called "Magic Beans," convinced they were the key to unlocking his forgotten destiny. For his mother, it was the final embarrassment. Furious and unwilling to enable his delusions any further, she cut off his access to the family funds. Since then, Gilgamesh has scraped by on a string of odd jobs - running deliveries, working as a courier, and even taking shifts at some of the city's more notorious sex clubs - all in a deliberate effort to repay the debt he owes his parents.
Since childhood, Gilgamesh has insisted he is the reincarnation of a heroic king from a bygone era - a claim few believe, though he holds to it with unwavering conviction. His dreams, strange and vivid, offer fuel for his belief: visions of a golden kingdom bathed in sunlight, where he reclines in a vast pool surrounded by flowering vines and radiant treasure.
Relationships
Kotaro Sato
After his family scandal forced them out of high society, Gilgamesh was dropped into Prologia’s public schooling system, a decision his parents spun as ‘character-building’, though mostly he learned how to charm the pants off the detention staff. It was in Prologia High Gil, first met Kotaro Sato a bright, spirited but vertically challenged classmate. Inexplicably chivalrous, he assisted the diminutive Kotaro whenever he was “endangered by vertical tyranny,” quickly appointed himself Big Brother Supreme. What began as unsolicited heroics soon blossomed into a genuine friendship.
The two became inseparable, or at the very least, Kotaro became very good at tolerating Gil’s endless ideas and unasked-for pep talks. Gilgamesh dragged Kotaro and their friend Ryuji into a blur of misadventures. He encouraged their ambitions, stood up for them in petty squabbles, and, of course, regularly landed them in detention through schemes that began with "What if we just..." and ended with fire alarms and apologies.
On Gil’s first visit to Kotaro’s home, the boy’s sharp-eyed uncle opened the door, saw Gil’s gold-threaded school uniform and how he casually slung an arm around Kotaro’s shoulder, and immediately assumed he was Kotaro’s boyfriend. What followed was less a stern talk about the birds and bees and more a chaotic squabble between a supremely jealous adult and a slightly confused but entirely unbothered teen.

Deimos
Demios is Gilgamesh’s official mission partner - the calm to his chaos. The leash to his lion. While technically the one in charge, Deimos often lets Gil take the lead when chasing down petty criminals, mostly to let him burn off energy, not entirely unlike an excitable golden retriever. Together, they make a rather effective team.
As seasoned member of Officer Tim Grayson’s elite occult task force, Deimos takes supernatural threats seriously - unlike Gil, who technically belongs to the squad but refuses to show up for anything involving demons, curses, or eldritch paperwork. Instead, he tags along on the safer cases, where Deimos ends up scolding him at least twice an hour for his impulsive antics.
Deimos comes from a family of high-functioning chaos: his girlfriend, the ever radiant (and ever under threat from poisoned produce) Snow White, and his brother Phobos plays in Calem’s band. After long shifts, Deimos can often be found at back-alley gigs, quietly sipping a drink while Gil flails dramatically to the music beside him — a well-dressed chaos elemental and his long-suffering shadow.
Sheriff Gold
Sheriff Gold is widely regarded as one of the most competent - and undeniably attractive- officers in all of Prologia. As the son of Rumpelstiltskin, the city’s shadowy banking tycoon, Gold grew up under immense pressure to be more than just polished. He’s risen through the ranks with relentless discipline and now stands neck-and-neck in a quiet rivalry with Precinct 1’s golden boy, Archie Pendragon. The two are frequently caught competing for merit badges, citations, and the city’s unofficial title of “Most Likely to Dazzle While Making an Arrest.”
Gilgamesh, unsurprisingly, was drawn to Sheriff Gold like a magpie to a treasure chest. Sharing his mother’s affinity for gold - both literally and figuratively - Gil was convinced for the longest time that he was in love with him. But as time passed (and several ignored lunch invites later), he came to the bittersweet realisation that Sheriff Gold's heart belongs not to romance, but to his career. In truth, Gold is a workaholic, driven by a need to live up to his father’s towering legacy- and, some suspect, to distance himself from Rumpelstiltskin’s ethically murky empire.

Midas
The powerful owner of The Golden Goose, Prologia’s most notorious gossip rag. Reknowned for breaking stories before they even happen! Thanks to his many intrusive reporters like Skippy Scoop, Midas has a golden hand in nearly every whisper that circulates throughout the city. On paper, he’s a media mogul. Off the record, he‘s suspected of being one of Prologia’s most dangerous criminals, accused of having ties to Blackmail rings, money laundering schemes and most disturbing of all, human trafficking.
Gilgamesh once went undercover to expose Midas’ criminal empire to the world. The plan was bold, the disguise fabulous, and the mission going well-right up until he saw the man in action. One glance at Midas’s golden biceps, unnervingly perfect jawline and other golden… assets, and Gil’s focus shifted dramatically.
The investigation is still technically open, but Gilgamesh can’t recall where he left the case filed - or his dignity. Meanwhile, Midas continued to walk the fine line between respectable publisher and untouchable kingpin, always flashing a smile as sharp as the secrets he trades.
Chase Van Redfo
Chief Chase Van Redfo leads precinct 2 with sharp focus, determination and a jawline that inspires both fear and fanfiction. Despite his age being one of the youngest appointed chiefs in the history of Prologia’s law enforcement, ( and distractingly good looks) Chase commands respect, with firm discipline a cool head and an impeccable record. His leadership style is measured, fair and alarmingly organized - a rarity in a city where magic, myth and misdemeanor often blur into one.
When duty calls, Chase enlists Gilgamesh to watch over his younger brother Frederic - a task Gil performs with varying degrees of responsibility. For reasons no one can fully understand, Gil continues to believe Frederic is Chase’s son, despite all evidence to the contrary. Chase has long since given up arguing. He simply leaves a snack bag and instructions on the fridge.
Gil swears - loudly and often - that he once saw his Chief perform at Gretel’s Hot Oven, Prologia’s infamous trifecta of strip, sex and wrestling club. Chase has never confirmed nor denied these rumours, merely raising an eyebrow and resuming his reports.
